Unibiz Exchange Servers Installation and Migration
Exchange Servers
E-mail has become an essential element in a companys ability to conduct business. It has also increased in its vulnerability to attacks from exploits, viruss, and general attacks such as denial of service. If you combine this with the quantum leap in the sophistication, new features and complexity of Exchange 2000 and 2003, you can envision the major challenges facing anyone who installs and manages Exchange Mail servers.
Unibiz Technology Services has successfully installed Exchange 5.5, 2000 and 2003. There are many variations of another mail server called send mail; we have installed many of these over the years also. Today however, the majority of our installations involve Microsoft Exchange 2000 and 2003. Exchange 2000 and 2003 is tightly intergraded and must run with Active Directory and DNS to take advantage of Active Directories Features and performance advantages. Due to its public accessibility and other reasons it is a frequent target for spreading many variations of virus and exploit attacks. This requires a defense package including a true firewall (alan please link this word to the firewall section) and a properly configured and updated virus protection plan. Armed with this information, it is not difficult to understand the skill level, experience and vigilance required to maintain a working and stable e-mail platform. What makes Unibiz Technology Services Unique is our offering of all the services including the ISP T-1 Frame Relay connection. Understanding and having the ability to provide the complete package has been proven over the years to be highly valuable to our customers. One company to call for all levels of Network and Exchange design to upgrading to Frame Relay Installations.
Exchange 2000 and 2003 allows you to have multiple Mail servers that are synchronized.
This and many other new security features can vastly improve the quality of your companies e-mail platform. If you are still running Exchange 5.5, please contact us and we can advise you as to your options and do a security analysis for your local network.
